My smart nest thermostat is frustrating

Here are a few things I find frustrating about it:

• The ‘machine learning’ algorithm sucks badly. Something my former wife complained about which I am starting to see her point (opps!)

  • I haven’t found a way to keep it cool at night.

• My system only takes the temperature from the middle floor but my HVAC heats the whole house so some parts of my house get too hot and my ground floor is too cool.

  • I have tried blocking vents - that’s another story!

I love that:

• I can control it via Alexa

• I can control it from my App

• It has a ‘reasonably nice’ interface. But it doesn’t do everything one might hope for - I don’t see a temperature graph for instance.
