Boy that cried wolf - false positive
Boy that cried wolf - false positive
This is another way of focusing on why it’s important to only communicate what matters.
Think of the fairy story of the boy who cried wolf. For those that don’t know the story it is a fairy story about a boy looking after sheep that got bored being by himself on the mountainside and so for a joke he cried wolf to get all the other villagers come and see him.
This was fun until the third time when the wolf really came but the villagers were sick of hearing from him and so they didn’t come and the wolf ate the sheep (and in more grim versions of the story - the boy himself!).
Good communication is about making sure you don’t distract other people with meaningless information.
