One on one conversations usually have the best information flow
See https://interfaceware.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/EC/pages/2103017615 and https://interfaceware.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/EC/pages/2103017602 to understand why.
More detail
We are all different. Meetings with more than three people are difficult because half the people in the meeting:
Have better more urgent things to do with their time.
They already know of bottlenecks they could be usefully applying their time to rather than spending three hours in a meeting
Many won’t understand the meeting
They speak a different language (sometimes literally) but at the very least the jargon used won’t make sense.
Large meetings make it difficult for https://interfaceware.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/EC/pages/2103017731 to occur. People are often embarrassed to admit they don’t understand.
Even two people in one conversation can have a hard time understanding each other https://interfaceware.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/EC/pages/2790424944
That is why I structure https://interfaceware.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/EC/pages/2780168207 around encouraging many many one on one meetings rather than big ‘all hands on deck' meetings.
