We get bored by reading material which is obvious to us

This is main reason most people won’t read a large manual.

It’s full of information which is obvious and this obfuscates what is useful.

For instance:

• Make a cup of tea

versus

• Turn the tap on

• Wait until the water filter is filled to max

• Transfer the water to the kettle after a few minutes

• Go to the top cupboard where the tea is stored…
