On one level Chrome is open. On another level they are closed except to economic actors with a lot of financial resources that the slap their own lipstick on the pig that is browser standards.

Did you know Microsoft Edge is based on the same core Chromium browser as Chrome. This isn’t a good thing - now we are trending to a mono-culture of browser implementations.
