Removing the Admin User

IguanaX ships with a single user Administrator account enabled.
For Windows and MacOS, the default username is admin, and the password is “password”.
For Linux, the default username is admin, and a randomly generated password is provided.
We strongly recommend to create a new User Account with administrator privileges and delete the default admin user for production servers:
Login as admin and navigate to Settings > Roles

to create a #admin User Role and grant full access rights. All boxes should be checked. Click

In Settings > Users, click
Assign the User the #admin role, provide a secure password and click
In Settings > Users, go to the admin user and click on the trash icon

Confirm you want to delete the default admin user by clicking

If you wish to keep the admin user, we recommend changing the default password to a more secure password. See Users for how to edit an existing User’s password.
