The new make system maxes out the CPU usage!
This is pretty damned awesome I think. Lev noticed that with 8 cores that 800% of CPU resources were being used with Product X (aka Iguana X) being compiled with the new make file system.
To me I am hopeful this indicates that the makefile system has no real bottlenecks in file I/O and so we are now only CPU bound with respect to the efficiency of the build.
That’s amazing! I was a little confused in this discussion. Maybe Lev will be kind and trim the first part of this video?
