Installing Iguana under windows is straightforward with the windows installer.

 STEP 1: Download iguana_setup.exe file from https://install.interfaceware.com:8080/

Download iguana_setup.exe file from: https://install.interfaceware.com:8080/

  • You’ll need to run it as an Administrator. The operating system will prompt you, click YES when you see the prompt asking you this.

  • A firewall warning may come up - just click Allow access.

  • The installer will open up your web browser and guide you through a series of steps to install Iguana!

STEP 2: Using the installer, click Begin and follow the prompts to install IguanaX on your server
  1. Welcome: Click begin!

  2. Prepare: The installer first checks if any other Iguana instances are installed. To use the installer you can’t have any other IguanaX instances on the machine. There is a separate process for doing a Custom Installation if you already have IguanaX on your machine.

  3. Install Git: Iguana requires Git to be installed for version control. If Git is not found installed on the server, you’ll be prompted to click download, then install and in a couple minutes Iguana will have installed Git on the server for you.

  4. Location: Specify the directories for the Iguana Application Directory to store the executable file and the Working Directory storing your data and configurations.

  5. Configure: Provide a web server name for your instance and setup a Git username and email used by your admin User for committing changes in the Translator.

    • Best practice is to use values your Git host will recognize. This detail is very important for labeling your commits but also is what is used to help identify you and your Iguana in the Automated Crash Reporting.

  6. Create User: Provide a username and password for your Administrator user. The default username and password are admin and password respectively.

  7. Server Setup: Choose to install as Local System Account or a Specific User.

  8. Finish: Click Finish to be redirected to the Dashboard and login!
