Iguana X ships with a single user Administrator account enabled. The username for this account is admin, and the password is “password”.
We strongly recommend to create a new User Account with administrator privileges and delete the default admin user for production servers:
STEP 1: Create an admin role #admin (or any name) and give it full access rights to Iguana X
STEP 2: Create the new admin user with a secure name and assign the #admin role
In Settings > Users, click to create a new User with a secure name
Assign the User the #admin role, provide a secure password and click
STEP 3: Test carefully to ensure that the new admin user works
Logout of Iguana X and log back in as your new User with full admin access rights. Carefully test to make sure you are able to perform all admin tasks, before deleting the built-in admin user.
STEP 4: When ready, delete the built-in in admin user
In Settings > Users, go to the admin user and click on the trash icon .
Confirm you want to delete the default admin user by clicking .
If you wish to keep the admin user, we recommend changing the default password to a more secure password. See Users for how to edit an existing User’s password.
