The Translator Search and Replace can be found in the project pane. You can use this tool to search and replace text within your Translator project files.

There are powerful tools to search your projects efficiently:

Search with case sensitivity or match the whole word

When searching the project files with a key word you can toggle two options to to narrow down your search results:

  1. Case sensitivity; or

  2. Whole word match

Search the local current file or search globally across all files within the project

By default, search is set to global to search across all files within the project. You can toggle global search off to search through the current file open in the Translator.

For example, here we are only searching through main.lua, where as the previous screenshot above, we were searching across all project files:

When searching globally across multiple files, you can use the expand/collapse the file search results to make it easier to navigate and review your results

  1. Use the Expand/Collapse All button or manually expand/collapse sections of search results.

  2. Refresh your results to perform the search again and expand to view all results.

Replace all search results with a new value

Expand the search bar using the arrow button to specify a replacement value.

You can choose to replace:

  1. The current selected result; or

  2. All search results.

Tip: Search and replace is very helpful when using the Shell Adapter to create new adapter components.
