The Translator Search and Replace can be found in the project pane. You can use this tool to search and replace text within your Translator project files.

There are powerful tools to search your projects efficiently:

Search with case sensitivity or match the whole word

When searching the project files with a key word you can toggle two options to search with case sensitivity or whole word match to narrow your search results.

Search a local current file or global to search all files within the project

By default, a search is set to global - to search across all files within the project. You can toggle global search off to search through the current file open in the Translator. For example, here we are only searching through main.lua:

 Expand and collapse search results

When searching across multiple files, you can use the expand/collapse all button or manually expand/collapse sections of search results.

When you refresh a search, all files are automatically expanded to see all results.

Replace all search results with a new value

Expand the search bar using the arrow button to specify a replacement value.

You can choose to replace the current selected result or replace all search results from the current file.

Tip: Search and replace is very helpful when using the Shell Adapter to create new adapter components.
