For Iguana X to function correctly it needs to be installed in an environment which has access a number of services. Please go through this check list:

To activate the Iguana X Trial

Upon installation, Iguana X automatically licenses itself as a 30 day trial by accessing our Members site at https://my.interfaceware.com.

If Iguana X cannot access this site, then a trial cannot be automatically activated. Manual licensing provided by iNTERFACEWARE would be required.

Make sure you can get updates and critical security patches

It is essential that you can get to https://downloads.interfaceware.com so you can get upgrades –essential for safe operation of Iguana X.

This means having port 443 open. How do you know that when it is closed? You can navigate to Settings → About and make sure you do not see something like:

Make sure your Iguana server can access bitbucket.org

Iguana X has no built in components.

All components are currently hosted by Atlassian the same company that makes Jira. Bitbucket is a secure platform that is used to host Git archives that millions of users rely for securely storing their source code.

Port 22 and 443 need to be open for access to http://bitbucket.org - this is essential.

Crash reports - if you care about getting support to make sure IguanaX is highly available.

Iguana X has the ability to automatically upload crash reports. These crash reports contain no patient information. They are however extremely useful for us to rapidly identify problems and deliver the reliability you expect from Iguana.

We upload crash reports via port 7888 on crashreport.interfaceware.com.

 Access for snapshot updates

We have the ability to give customers access to pre-release snapshot updates. If you need a patch or if we are discussing building a new feature with you then this is a very helpful facility.

The host you will need open will depend on the operating system your IguanaX is running on, the port number is always 7777:
