We use Bitbucket at a git hosting platform to distribute all the Components that come with Iguana.

We host IguanaX components and libraries on bitbucket.org/.

IguanaX has no built in components or libraries . For the product to be functional at the very least your IguanaX instance will read access to Bitbucket.org.

Sometimes the product needs new versions of the components and vice-versa - it is important to keep things in sync especially as this point.

We make it easier to create your own git repos in bitbucket

Currently we have good integration with Bitbucket to create your own components and libraries.

You can use other platforms but there is more manual effort required.

Will this always be the case?

Longer term we will support other git platforms.

But our priority at the moment is the core of IguanaX as a product right now and so supporting other platforms would dilute our focus on what is most important.

If you don't have network access to bitbucket.org

If you haven’t got access to it then you are likely to see this when you try and create a component:

Talk to your firewall administrator and ask them to open up bitbucket.org, use our page for the correct network access needed for IguanaX: Make sure you are connected
