Git is required for Iguana X to run. The easiest way to install Git on Mac is to install the XCode developer command line tools.
To do this you will need to open the Mac OS X Terminal Program. If you don’t know where to find that then we wrote this little guide.
From a Terminal window please run the following command:
xcode-select --install
This will install the Git as part of the Apple developer tools. It’s quite a large download and will take a little while to complete. Expect to see something like this:
Some typical problems with this you might see:
If the process exits
Try closing other applications and rebooting your machine.
Rerun the command from the terminal
