In the video I show picking Amazon Linux which is an excellent choice.

  • Defaults for most of the settings should be fine.

For AWS to completely initialize the machine takes a little longer. I suggest you do something else - take a break, get a coffee or what ever brings you joy. Then in the next video you can see how one can easily connect to your instance. In this case I use the build in browser tool. It’s possible to connect in other ways like ssh but that is different topic:
