Each component can be viewed, started, stopped, and configured through their card. Double click on a component’s name in the list or graphical view to open its card.

 1. Start, stop, and rename your component

Here you will see the status of your component, have the ability to start/stop, and rename the component by clicking

 2. View and configure your component's connections

Click to open the component’s Source and Destination connections:

You can add Source and Destination component connections to your selected component and the changes will be reflected in your dashboard immediately.

 3. Modify/add a description

Click to modify or add a custom description to your component.

Tip: Use the descriptions to get a snapshot view into the function of the component.

 4. Modify/add tags and view details

Click to modify or add any /wiki/spaces/IXB/pages/3018981460 to the component.

 5. Edit custom field values

The card view shows the use of Custom Fields which can be used to change the configuration of the component.

In this example, Host and Port are the custom fields for this specific component (these fields can be anything you define in config.json in the Translator).

 6. View current state and access the development environment

The bottom of the component card houses development related information.

  • Using Commit - View current commit or select the commit you want to run the component on - Choosing the code to run for your component

    • View Commit (mentioned in above link) - Click View Commit to open the component Translator and view the selected current script in read only mode.

    • This is useful for when deploying a new component as you can select a new commit to run the component and check the component code is what is expected before running, without the risk of making accidental changes to the script.

  • Connected To - Shows the component’s connected repository.

    • Use [ Edit ] to access and edit the component’s Translator.

    • If not connected to a repository, you will see a warning screen, prompting you to connect your component to a repository. [ Set Up ] to pull up the Repository Management Screen and connect the component to a new or existing repository.

The HL7 Client example is an iNTERFACEWAEW Component. With a non iFW component, there will also be the option to /wiki/spaces/IXB/pages/3054010390 here.
