When you want to keep production Iguana logs for longer terms, it is recommended to setup a “Log Archive Iguana“ instead of extending PROD Iguana “Maximum Log Age“. Here is how you can achieve it.

Design

Key Components

  • PROD Iguana: production Iguana that needs to archive long term logs

  • Log Archive Iguana: Iguana that view archived logs

  • Log Locker Files (Enterprise/Professional License ONLY): logs.locker and log.auto are used for decrypt Iguana logs for Enterprise and Professional Iguana License

  • Iguana Log Files: daily generated Iguana logs for backup and restore

  • Log Archive Repo: a shared drive that can store large long term Iguana logs

Considerations

  • No labels
