What is a zero-day vulnerability?

See Wikipedia: Zero-day vulnerability

Basically it’s when a security bug has been discovered in a piece of software by users of that software before the provider of that software has had the opportunity to provide a fix for the problem.

Until the fix is provided everyone is vulnerable - the problem extends to vendors like us because we also have to take time to take a patch, test it and roll it out to our customers.
