How we see Product X coming to market

Product X is pretty amazing:

  • We have really pushed the envelope in the core technology and how configurable it is

  • But it’s new technology that we need to mitigate the risks

    • Our current customers have thousands of established stable systems which should not be disrupted by new technology until the problems are ironed out

    • Late adopters are late adopters for a good reason - they cannot afford to be burned with a new technology.

  • We need hammer out the technology

  • The idea being to focus on some limited use cases - potentially different use cases that our current customers use.

  • We need to validate the new platform with a new customers and existing fans of Iguana

We’ve been using Product X a high performance proxy server in front of Confluence and as an automated build system for Product X itself.
