The whole crux of giving positive praise is showing you are actually paying attention

Automated bots are the opposite of paying attention.

It’s funny - over the last couple of years I have been dating and trying out some of the dating apps. On occasion I have run into entities which clearly were not people - they were automated so called “AI” routines.

When I hit a entity that I think is a bot my test is to say some thing absolutely outrageous like:

Bot: What are your interests?

Me: Oh just trying to stay alive as I go through the terminal stages of HIV.

Bot: Oh that’s really interesting.

Then I know I have hit a bot. It’s my own adhoc Turing Test.
