Separation of concerns - applied to an employment contract
An example of applying the separation of concerns concept is looking at a well written employment contract.
A poorly written employment contract might have information related to holiday entitlements scattered in several places in the contract. This creates the following problems:
It’s harder to read and understand the entitlements.
If the contract is edited, then it is more likely to result in a mistake being made such that the contract becomes inconsistent and potentially invalid.
If we were to apply separation of concerns to an employment contract we’d expect to see the various topics of the contract well separated with clear headings making it easy to be understood by a broad audience of people.
