Source of truth
One of the challenges with integration is working out the ‘source of truth’. This is the system which is considered the ‘correct’ system for quality of data - versus other secondary systems.
The problem is that many organizations have is when they go for the ‘best of breed’ approach where information systems are selected on the basis of being best to fit the workflow of the purpose it is used for. i.e. for us Pipedrive for our sales activities, Xero for our accounting processes, Jira for development ticket management.
When multiple sources of truth exist - how do you have them talk to each other?
