Git collections are git repositories containing groups of components.

Iguana X relies on collections to find:

  • Custom components to populate into the Components screen, and

  • Libraries to populate the Libraries screen in the translator

They are integral to the design of the platform.

Go to Settings > Git Collection to see and configure what Git Collections you have

Here’s the collections screen.

Click Edit to add/remove Git Collections
The Add Components screen on the dashboard is populated from the Git Collections

Iguana queries the Git Collections and populates what we call the Git cache.

If you want to access the documentation for a particular component, you can click on Learn More in the component description.

Import Library in the translator is also populated from the Git Collections
There is a git cache which makes creating libraries and components faster

See Git Cache for more information.

There are some git collections which are 'built in' although you can remove them

When you install Iguana X there are currently three “builtin” GIT collections bundled with the install. These enable you to create components to handle the most common tasks.

It is possible that more collections will be added in future installs.

Looking for a particular component? See all of the available iNTERFACEWARE Collections.

When you want to view the documentation for a particular component, click on Learn More in the component description.

You can also Create your own git collections.
