This is a little out of scope of installing Iguana but having a fresh up to date Linux Server is a helpful starting point. This page is as much for our own staff as it is for customers.

If you don’t have an Amazon Web Services account then you can create one for free. Most companies have an account which hopefully you have access to.

In this video I show the process of creating an AWS instance which can be used for installing Iguana. It takes a couple of minutes to create a AWS server to try out Iguana. It’s reasonable to pick choices like:

For AWS to completely initialize the machine takes a little longer. I suggest you do something else - take a break, get a coffee or what ever brings you joy. Then in the next video you can see how one can easily connect to your instance. In this case I use the build in browser tool. It’s possible to connect in other ways like ssh but that is different topic:
