To implement an Epic interface for the first time often requires finding an Epic customer who wants the integration to happen. This is the purpose of this role - to find such a customer and advocate for making it happen.
What get’s done? How do you get the attention and effort of people within Epic and within a customer to do the necessary work required to make an interface happen?
Epic is a huge company with many many customers. If you are an Epic employee how do you know what and who to pay attention to.
Most medical IT vendors are not large enough to get the attention of Epic. It typically is better strategy for a business sponsor to find a customer of Epic that they can convince to help with getting an interface done. The business sponsor is the person who can clearly communicate and sell the value of getting this done and rally everyone to make it happen.
