First thing to do when So once you have issues connecting to Iguana is to see if Iguana is running and if the web port is open. Try using a tool like wget or curl.
To access the web interface of Iguana from outside of the machine it is running on then you will often need to configure what TCP/IP ports are open on the machine to access through the public IP address of the machine.
We give an example workflow doing this with an EC2 instance on Amazon webservicesyour Iguana instance installed and running successfully - how do you connect to it using your web browser? The following video should be helpful in explaining what you need to do. It’s specific to using Amazon Web Services EC instances but the same concepts apply to other environments. It shows how you can:
Get the public IP address of your server together with the port number that Iguana is listening on
Put together the complete URL for your web browser
Reconfigure the ‘firewall’ for the amazon web server so you can connect to Iguana with your web browser
...
If you are using another system the precise interface you are using will be different but you will essentially be performing the same tasks in order to access your Iguana instance through Iguana.
See this guide for using a tool like wget or curl to verify that Iguana’s web server is working.
